Victim Services Bruce Grey is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to supporting individuals impacted by crime and tragic circumstances throughout Bruce and Grey counties.  In partnership wiht emergency services, community agencies and teh people we serve, we provide timely assistance to those in need, helping them navigate chalenging situations with care and compassion.

We focus on providing assistance to victims, collaborative partnerships with community agencies and education and awareness.

Duties

We are seeking volunteers to join our Board of Directors.  Board Membrs are responsible for determining and implementing policies to achieve the mission and mandate of Victim Services Bruce Grey.

  • Understand and demonstrate a commitment to the ogranization's mission and programs.
  • Be informed about agency policies andprograms in order to support adherence to standards.
  • Possess knowledge and skill in one or more areas of Board Governance, Legal, Policy/Governance, Finance, Human Resources, Communications and Community Programming.
  • Contribute skills and knowledge by participating actively in meetins and committee work.
  • Understand and maintain confidentiality.
  • Avoid any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Ensure the organization is complying with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in fostering positive relationships among the Board, Staff and Community to support fulfillment of the organizational mandate.
  • Serve as an ambassador of the organization.
