Student nutrition programs are run by volunteers in every school in Grey Bruce. Volunteers are relied on to prep and serve food to children each day.  Opportunities to help with food shopping and fundraising also may be available.

Duties
  • Volunteers needed to prepare and serve simple meal to students, some schools bring food trays into classrooms.
  • Volunteers needed to prepare trays for delivery to classes and also for clean up of kitchen area, help with grocery shopping or fundraising for food.

Benefits Short duration of time needed usually once per week for 1 hour usually 8 - 9 am, some schools offer snack programs later in the day so time may vary. Shopping can be anytime during the day and taken to the school nutrition area.
