Description (Service) COVID-19 Response As of Aug 11, 2020, the library will reopen to the public with capacity and time limits in place. Library capacity will be initially capped at 20 people at a time, not including staff, and each person can visit for up to 30 minutes per day. 
A limited number of public computers will be available for use with a computer pass, which will be available at the information desk. Public printing and photocopying will be available with staff assistance.  
Regular Service: 
Provides residents/taxpayers of the City of Owen Sound, the Township of Chatsworth, the Township of Georgian Bluffs and the Municipality of Meaford with library materials, information and related programs and services.  
Services include:  
  • e-books and e-audiobooks 
  • reference service, comprehensive information provided to the public upon request 
  • micro-film and micro-fiche readers, scanner and printer, and photocopier available 
  • Internet access and computer workstations 
  • wireless Internet hotspot 
  • children's services and toy-lending library 
  • circulation of a wide variety of reading materials, DVDs and toys 
  • 3D printer and video-recording equipment 
  • passenger elevator to all levels of the library 
  • Adult Learning Centre provides adult upgrading and basic computer training (CAP) on a one-to-one tutorial and/or small group basis. See separate listing for details 
  • accessible materials such as large print, talking books, daisy readers and daisy books 
  • Library to Go provides home book delivery for residents unable to get to the library 
  • inter-library loans 
  • local history and genealogical collection
