There are many opportunities to volunteer with Autism Ontario. Whether you are looking for something casual or something more committed, there is a volunteer role suited to you. There are four main areas in which you can volunteer with Autism Ontario:
Administrative: help with mailings, thank you letters, grant writing, etc.
Events: we run events year-round, which require volunteers to keep them running smoothly
Committees: we have several ongoing and adhoc committees that meet during the year

There are 2 main volunteer roles at Canadian Blood Services:
1. In-Clinic Role – In this role, our volunteers oversee donor safety and satisfaction after they’ve made their donation. The volunteers socialize with donors, provide juice and cookies, and watch for adverse reactions.
2. In-Community Role – In this role, our volunteers go out into their communities to inform the public about the need for blood. They focus on recruiting new and lapsed donors, booking appointments into upcoming clinics, and giving out information to raise awareness about blood donation. In Community volunteers may attend health fairs, summer events, corporate events etc to raise awareness about the need for blood.

Breaking Down Barriers, Independent Living Resource Centre

Provide weekly companionship to client of Breaking Down Barriers. Assist with activities like arts & crafts, cooking, scrapbooking, weaving and Friendship Café. Meet for conversation, maybe go for an outing and just be a friendly face to someone who may otherwise be isolated.
