Duties•Help with set-up and tear down of special displays, booths and other supporting structures 
•Greet visitors and provide them with event orientation 
•Handle cash transactions for purchase of goods or admission 
•Provide information on particular activities 
•Demonstrate special skills 
•Interpret, act, perform or otherwise draw visitors into the special activities

BenefitsSpecial events volunteers have the opportunity to be a part of exciting, special activities that engage visitors in unique ways. They will meet many people and share a lot of fun, interesting information. Upon completion of 20 hours of service annually, they and a guest may visit Grey Roots free of charge. They will receive a quarterly volunteer newsletter, discounts in the gift shop, insurance coverage while on duty and an annual recognition event.
