Description (Service)

Weekly 'pick-up' hockey game that brings together clients of Brightshores Health System and CMHA Grey Bruce who are managing mental health and/or addiction issues.

Games are played at the Julie McArthur Regional Recreation Centre in Owen Sound from October to April.

Men and women of all skills are welcome

Spectators and cheering crowds always welcome.

Service Details

Hours Puck Pigs: 
Tue 3:30-4:30 pm, Oct-Apr 
Warm up, access to dressing rooms: 3 pm 
2025-26 season dates will be announced in Sep. 
 
Ice Dogs: 
Thursdays 3:30-4:30 pm, Oct-Apr 
Warm up, access to dressing rooms: 3 pm 
2025-26 season dates will be announced in Sep. 
 
Please note, the Ice Dogs team players need to be in recovery from any substance use.

Eligibility Ages: 18 year(s) and up 18 year(s) and up
Clients of Brightshores Health System and CMHA Grey Bruce who are managing mental health and/or addiction issues.
Application Participants need to sign up and pay a small fee to play on the team. 
The Canadian Adult Recreational Hockey Association (CARHA)- players pay $25 per season to have insurance.
