The Meaford Moves+ accessible transit service is operating with COVID-19 safety protocols in place. Call 519-538-5577 to book your trip.
Regarding transportation to COVID-19 vaccination clinics
Residents of Meaford who meet the eligibilty criteria of this service can arrange transportation to a COVID-19 vaccination clinic. Anyone who does not already have a Meaford Moves+ Eligibility Card, should sign up for one using the application instructions in this listing. Once the application has been submitted, arrangements can be made for the individual to use this service.
Provides door-to-door transportation service for individuals with permanent or temporary disabilities living in the Municipality of Meaford.
Eligible riders can use Meaford Moves+ for:
Attendant or companion can accompany the rider. Drivers are trained to expertly load and care for individuals with disabilities and their special equipment.
Scooters and electric wheelchairs (depending on their size, weight and type) are permitted on the transit bus. Please get your devices verified by the transit operator ahead of time to make sure they can fit securely.

|Eligibility||Residents of the Municipality of Meaford who have an accessibility issue.
Applicants must either:
Disabilities include those identified in the Ontario Human Rights Code, including but not limited to physical, sensory, cognitive and mental health disabilities. Qualification is not based on income or age.
|Application||Call in advance to book a trip. Minimum of 48 hours notice is required. Eligibility card is provided upon registration and required for each trip
To apply for Meaford Moves+ eligibility card, complete the Specialized Transit Application Form that is available:
The application form can be completed and signed by one of the listed Health Care Professionals or by providing the information from a valid Ontario Accessible Parking Permit to the Municipal Office. The application must be either signed by the applicant, or signed on behalf of the applicant if he/she is incapable of signing.

Once the application is submitted and approved, the applicant will receive the transit card in the mail.
All prices are for one-way trips only. Up to two companions can ride with the eligible rider. Companions pay the same fare. If a support person is required to be able to use the bus, the support person travels free.
