Hanover and Area Refugee Committee 
Group of community members in the Hanover area sponsoring two refugee families through the Blended Visa Office-Referred (BVOR). The sponsorship process is being facilitated by the Mennonite Central Committee. Kincardine Refugee Sponsorship Committee 
Committee formed by the Knox Presbyterian Church, Kincardine Islamic Centre and other area churches to raise money to bring 2 refugee families to the area. To donate, make cheques payable to: Knox Presbyterian Church, Attention: Refugee Fund and mail to 345 Durham St, Kincardine, ON, N2Z 1Y6. Meaford Refugee Welcome Group 
Group will be supporting a Syrian family of 6 for 12 months and is accepting volunteers and donations. For more information visit www.meafordrefugeewelcome.org 
 
Northern Bruce Peninsula Refugee Group 
Group of area residents collecting donations to bring a Syrian Refugee family to the area. Anyone interested in contributing or donating can contact Elizabeth Thorn at Elizabeth@thorn.ca, or by calling 519-377-5166. Dameon Wall can be contacted regarding housing at 519-375-0465.  
 
Owen Sound and Community Refugee Initiative (OSCRI) / Grey Bruce Newcomers Network 
Initiative is a collection of approximately 15 faith groups, non-religious groups and community supporters responding to the global refugee crisis. Each group is coordinating their own specific committees to address the day to day needs of their refugee families. Initiative is being led by Rev Dana Benson at St Andrew's Church in Owen Sound. * Christian Reformed Church Refugee Sponsorship Committee - Owen Sound 
Members of the First Christian Reformed Church, Owen Sound, formed a committee and are leading the church’s efforts to sponsor one, and possibly two, refugee families through World Renew For more information contact Tom or Wilma Bergstra at twbergs@gbtel.ca  
* Friends Around Georgian Bluffs - Georgian Bluffs & South Bruce Peninsula 
6 families from the area came together and formed this group and together raised enough funds to sponsor a Syrian Refugee family of 5 who will be relocating to Wiarton. For more information about the group and how you can help email friendsaroundgeorgianbluffs@gmail.com 
* Friends in Faith Refugee Committee - Owen Sound 
Committee was formed by Ghzala Deloughery of Owen Sound Muslim Assoc, Michael Valpy of St George’s Anglican and Tom Rice of Georgian Shores United Church to sponsor a Syrian couple and their 4 children to come to Owen Sound. A group of people associated with the Presbyterian church in Owen Sound who are leading their congregation's local effort in sponsoring a family through the Presbyterian Church in Canada (PCC). The group is currently awaiting the arrival of a Eritrean family of 5. Saugeen Shores Refugee Fund 
Home in Port Elgin being used to sponsor a family of 13 and hope to be able to assist others. Donations needed to help with rent, food, clothing, furniture, and other necessities. For more information www.saugeenshoresrefugeefund.org

Bruce Grey United Fund to Support Newcomers 
Bruce Power and United Way of Bruce Grey have teamed up to create a fund to support the expected influx of refugees and newcomers to the regions. The fund is to support Bruce Grey welcoming initiatives for newcomers both to the community and those new to Canada. The fund is not for sponsorship's or direct support of refugees but to support the work of the various community committees that are providing front line support of newcomers and refugees. Canadian Red Cross 
All branches of The Canadian Red Cross throughout Canada are accepting monetary donations to aid in the relocation of Syrian Refugees into Canada. Please note they are only accepting financial donations (no items). For more information and to make a financial donation online visit www.redcross.ca  
 
Errinrung Retirement Residence - Thornbury, 67 Bruce St 
Set up as a clothing donation drop off throughout January for new and gently used clothing. Items will be sent to Toronto for distribution to the refugees and other needed families. Can drop off anytime or call at 519-599-2737.
