Description (Service) Provides condition- or diagnosis-specific, time-limited and goal-oriented physiotherapy.
Services include assessment, diagnosis and treatment to improve, develop or rehabilitate physical function after a debilitating event or disease, pain, injury or surgical procedure

Eligibility People requiring physiotherapy services

OHIP coverage available for:
  • people 19 years and under or 65 years and older
  • ODSP or OW recipients
  • people recently discharged as inpatients of a hospital who require physiotherapy directly connected to the condition, illness or injury for which they were admitted to the hospital, post day surgery or outpatient surgery
  • discharged from a hospital following outpatient/day surgery in the last 12 months
  • total joint replacements covered under Bundled Care
Application Medical referral required for Bundled Care coverage.
